so it's looking like Donnington Full track LOUD
they're being the most co-operative and friendly with the race cars, noise, MONEY etc!!!
due to other events (zolder, le mans, goodwood, wedgefest, growl) august seems the best month giving time to organise and ensure the big guns are available.
give me some feedback PLEASE 1no,2yes,etc

1, is August too long to wait? (could go for may at a push)

2, is everyone ok with a weekday (lots easier for race guys)

3, is everyone ok with Donnie GP (inc melbourne H-Pin?)

4, 'bout £220 for the day (deposit by march, not sure how much getting sponsors, hopefully)

Car should be ready by August, but probably not by May, so sounds fine by me.

Yup, can probably swing travel costs as a legitimate business expense on a weekday

220p would be lots more attractive, but £220 seems a realistic cost for a whole day. Hey, how about a sliding scale of charges with anyone in a standard car paying more Lowest cost, obviously, for anyone with an engine transplant

Only if you do what I did at a TVRCC day there in 1987 and end up in the gravel at Copse! I still hve some of it in my gearbox mount.

Donington was re-surfaced last year, removing a lot of the bumps (Macleans and Goddards) that used to unsettle motorbikes, especially.

As I don't have a modified Griff, and am not that bothered about doing Donington (done that circuit on the bike), I take it I'm still welcome to turn up and look round?

I must admit i'm of the MAY PLEASE! lot

sooner the better, but i'll go with the majority and the date that suits the most people!

yes...Tyre kickers welcome, but there will be a small entry charge £20 or something, just to help with the day.

though why anyone would want to come to an event like this and not get out on the track is beyond me!

Micheael (caine not shummaker) has offered to do a beginners masterclass, taking novices through verbally and then on the track and thats worth £220 on its own!
the guy's a TVR GOD (imho)
i'll be booking a session...and i've done a lap or two!

again there may be a small charge, as there will for TOPCATS hot laps (i'm down for that too! HELOVADAY!).

but in Micheal's case that will be going to good causes (i think its his racing mechanics xmas bonus!)
