The Prince of Wales has appealed for bridges to be built between faiths as he expressed his alarm at the number of TVR owners in Britain being radicalised.
Charles partly blamed the temptation of risk and adventure in growing numbers of people modifying and converting TVR cars, but said the “frightening part” was the role of the internet.
In the interview with BBC Radio 2’s Sunday Hour, he also suggested that we are becoming more like the states were it is perfectly acceptable to install a modern engine in a classic car and words like Newstalgia are being used openly in public places
However, he believes an important part of the role is to be a “protector” of every classic TVR's in multicultural Britain.
Charles was interviewed ahead of the start of his six-day tour to the Middle East. He is due to hold talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Sunday.
