Just dyno'd a set of Nitron Cerbera front dampers and I thought I would post the damper dyno plots for people to see - the valving on these is very clever stuff indeed!!

Could you expand please for us non damping experts, just looks like a graph with a magnetic field to the un trained eye. smile

Hi Scotty,

I would love to but my post would be removed as it would be seen as 'advertising' - there is plenty of information on thee net that describes Force Vs Displacement graphs and why this is so different.

here is a link to a post I wrote on another forum explaining how the graphs are obtained:

http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/1118...

From this it can be seen that the behaviour of the damper shim stacks behave very differently in both rebound and compression when they are opening and closing which is what makes this dampers behaviour unusual.

I hope this post is seen as for info only!

The Nitrons are a lot more advanced than the Protech - enjoy :-)

I would expect that given they are twice the price. However, have you compared the Protech Double Adjustabls 600 Series with the Nitrons? Where's the second graph? ;p

Hi,

the Protech are a nice quality twin tube damper - we sell lots for seven type cars and have developed an kit with Protech for the MX5. The 600 series are double adjustable in that they have a separate adjuster for compression and rebound damping so they can be adjusted independently (somewhat) of each other.

We have not specifically tested a set for the TVR though.

Here is a Force Vs Displacement plot from a Protech Damper - you can see it is a lot more symmetrical (usual) than the Nitron damper plot:

Not sure what you mean by the second graph?
