TVR designing motorbikes

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned!
In this weeks MCN Bike paper there is an article on TVRs "Street Urban" superbike there's two design drawings of the bikes by Glynn Ker former design chief. IF TVRs and bikes are your thing you might find it interesting. I beleive TVR are going to use Suzuki engines. Looks like Mr Smolensky seems to love his bikes and is keen to get TVR involved in this, he was serioulsy interested in buying CCM when they went into liquidation. The article goes on to say that bikes are in the family..Nikolai's father has already bought into a bike company called Ural...interesting.

I'd heard rumours of such a project a little while ago, but that it had been put on the back burner whilst other projects (like cars that people have already put down cash for) get sorted out. As I understood things, the plans for the basic platform had been bought from an established bike company and then TVR were to make it work for themselves. Don't recall Ural having been mentioned though.
Could be an interesting sideline when the time is right. Imagine a hardcore bike made in the TVR spirit. Roof down motoring all year round!!

Ural is the company that Nikoli's father bought into..Nikolai wants TVR to produce motorbikes using Suzuki engines, he is in talks with Suzuki at the moment. The article was just saying that both he and his father share a passion for bikes..not that Ural and TVR will ever become involed with each other.

Thank god for that. Given the unfortunate image of the Sp6 (warranted or otherwise) you wouldn't really want TVR trying to polish something else with a tarnished reputation.
Would be easier to push the bike S6 version than the car which may be the thinking behind the bike.
