Has anyone fitted one of these if so what mods will I need to do ?

Many thanks

AFAIK, recent road-going Tuscans never had a 6-speed 'box. (cars produced post 2000).

Don't know if the Tuscan racers were ever fitted with the 6 gear version of the T-5?

I'm assuming you are talking about the Borg-Warner T-5 'box? I guess it would involve a bespoke prop-shaft for starters?

Have a word with Sportmotive they may be able to help or advise they've done 6 speed conversions on their LS engined Griffith offerings. Not a straightforward swap I believe.

Just checking the obvious but do you a gearbox from a Speed 6 Tuscan (ie the engine) or a gearbox with six forward gears that had been fitted to a Tuscan?

Ah didn't think of that. If it's a gearbox from a Tuscan then its a T5 which will replace the LT77 gearbox fitted to your pre-cat Griffith as the T5 was fitted to the 500

As i understand it. The T5 from a Tuscan will drop straight into the pre cat chassis and the gear lever will be in the correct position. The gear selecting end bit or whatever its called is different on the Tuscan T5 than it is on the Griff 500 T5, which has gear linkage going over the top chassis rail.

The gear linkage on a Griff T5 will not fit in a pre cat chassis without chassis mods to the top rail.

You can get the different type selector end bits namely from John Reid, so really any T5 would do with the Tuscan type selector plonked on it.

You then however will need prop sorting, speedo transducer etc. so not completely straight forward.

Stevesprint has done this with a Tuscan T5 in his precat.I`d give him a shout. If you search he did a thread about it.

Here you go.
