Sagaris wheels
Discussion
Why are TVR using the same old wheels for the Sagaris as they've been using on all the other models for the last 5 years.. nothing against the spyders but surely the Sagaris and even the Tuscan 2 deserved a fresh design to balance off the modern bodywork!! what a shame it's issues like this that let Tvr down and keep the opposition one step ahead! "PLEASE TVR.. sort it out"!
My thoughts too kickass.. still looks good especially with the anthracite option... but should of had 19's as standard fitment.. the Sagaris has wider and bigger wheel arches than the T350 so you would imagine it could accomadate a larger wheel.. obviously TVR have had problems with fitting bigger wheels as the 19's on the show car were scraping the arches too... maybe some new 18's then!

Could be right about old stock Simon! what a shame i thought Mr.NS was suppose to have delayed production to make sure of a better end product! obviously over looked the wheels!!!

Wtf cares about what wheels are on a car??????
The spiders do stand out from the crowd...
If anyones got better ideas, why not put a picture up on this thread - and we'll see what gets the vote?
(But less weight is a necessity, otherwise driveshafts/gearboxes/diffs will be the next thing to replace after your clutch goes IMO)
I've seen a set of titanium alloy wheels with diamond cuts, cost? 32k!!!
But DJC, for you to say who cares about wheels, is like saying who cares about the colour... wheels emphasize a cars beauty right? I quite like those Typhon wheels - but arent they like £3000 just for the wheels?

Spiders are fabulous wheels and in anthracite stunning on the sagaris. I'm personally glad they didn't change they could have put some minging ones on instead. I agree though that there should at least be the option of other wheels (ideally the 19") for those who want another set. Putting different sized or different weight wheels would indeed not work with the factory developed suspension based around the spiders.

I'm planning to get the Davin SP1 for my next TVR. The red bit is carbon fibre.
What's the point of there being a single carbon fibre spoke? Surely that means the wheel would be out of balance and would need extra weight applied thus defeating the point? Or is it there purely for looks?

It's purely a design element. One which I like, but like Marmite - either you like it or you don't! They come in silver with black carbon fibre as well.
