At the 6K service my Tuscan was filled with 10W/60 fully synthetic.
I've just been a bit of a fool and topped up with the residual oil left over prior to this service which was semi-synthetic 10W/40.
I put in less than 500ml before I noticed. Do you guys/girls think I need to change the oil or will this small amount be unlikely to cause a problem.
Also, anyone now where I can pick up Castrol 10W/60 in the Nottinghamshire area as it doesn't seem to be stocked by the main retail giants.
Cheers

Synthetic with synthetic should be ok... I dont think you'd have a problem... the weighting is wrong, but shouldnt make much of a difference once it all heats up and mixes up.... mix Sainsbury's pure orange juice with Tesco's... I doubt you'd have a problem... (bad comparison i know... but you get the jist)

5oo mil in 12 litres shouldn't be a problem.
minerals and synths shouldn't be mixed but a semi-synth will be fine.
i wouldn't change it.
you can mix and match all the famous oils these days (just don't try mixing a vegetable oil in there
).. in the tuscan you can only change half the oil at the service anyway so it was already a blend of mineral, semi synth and fully synth.Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
