It's a great idea. We all love orgasmic living (rumoured to be related to the other 'products' he produces), no discounted speed-6 rebuilds, increased staff turnover, limited runs of 500 cars, 'excellent factory communication' etc etc.
We all wait with baited breath for the next wonderful idea taken from those years of experience in the industry....
(and yes, I know the slogan was dropped, no speed-6 engine has ever failed without being thrashed to 6k revs when cold every day, limited runs will ensure low depreciation (just like the t350), the factory were always c*ap at talking to paying customers etc).
Have you never made a mistake? Orgasmic living was laughable and quite rightly it's been dropped. As far as communication is concerned, I was pleasantly surprised to get the letter from BS at Christmas (can't ever recall that before). The quality of the new cars is also reported to be much better, certainly the ones I have seen in the showroom looked very well finished.

As a 'new broom' things will always get swept aside. The apparent keenness, in which legacy items are being discarded, whilst understandable, seems to forget that TVR's main market and its customer base is its existing owners. To alienate them is to put yourself in difficult waters.
The withdrawing of the cerbera is premature IMHO, a replacement needs to be announced first, the Typhon is too far a bigger price step to be considered a replacement IMHO.
The Speed6 whilst a great performer, it is a leap of faith by those that have bought it, to say you the factory will no longer carry out repairs at the factories expense is unacceptable, see previous line about alienating existing customer base

TVR's have for decades been associated with big loud V8's, there is currently not one in the line up
, this is a major marketing mistake IMHO, even 'lesser' manufacturers are carving niches in V8 engine car market at present, why isn't TVR there to defend its mantle

The right 'sound bites and spin' seem to be coming out of the factory, is there any substance to these though. Most bright people in the UK are developing a reflex reaction to sound bites thanks to the incumbent party at present. Unfortunately this reaction is to stop listening, regardless. Deeds not words, which may be old school, are what people want, something tangible.

Yep, but not that many in quick succession.
The future is Russian, but not necessarily bright, more 'in the balance'. It could work out well, it might not.
Reports on PH would suggest that quality is not massively improved, though the long term fruits of their 'quality control labour' remains to be seen.
I'd prefer not to take the 'rose tinted' view and I'll also not condemn the new regime. In my opinion, it's just too early to call it.....

Yep, but not that many in quick succession.

If I were an investor or shareholder I would be jumping up and down and demanding monthly updates on plans and progress. When will it finally be long enough for us to know what is going on and see some results (Tuscan 2 Demos not withstanding)!!!

However, if you're going to delay production to improve quality you shouldn't release a new model where the indicators fall off within a week of the car being built, IMHO.
Is there any possibility that you're not looking at this subjectively and defending TVR in every discussion regardless?

I didn't think I had condemned anyone, just that I am yet to see many tangible product improvements since the takeover. Lots of talk, rumours of frantic work behind the scenes and not much improvement yet.
Based on previous comments surely the fact that you don't own a Tuscan II at the moment precludes you from commenting on it?
As I said earlier, the jury is out. At the moment it seems that you're in the eyes of some people on here you're either pro or anti TVR, whether it's on the topic of the takeover, the speed 6 or whatever.

Think you're spot on there. There are many, many polarised opinions on here. And whenever someone tries to provide a balanced "we'll see" or "maybe", people try to pigeonhole it as a positive/negative, and use it to start an argument/back an opinion up.
Sometimes things are just "ok", or the jury is still out...

Of course they are.
My first post was tongue in cheek but I stand by my other comments. Of course everything is not perfect (when is it ever) but let's give the guy a chance for goodness sake. I have run companies and have taken over companies where TLC is required and it takes time to pull everything together. I'm just glad that I never had to do it with the PH collective watching and "advising".
