[quote=groucho]Is this it?
It shows nothing over 240 HP, can't be right, can it?

This would be spot on for road wheel figures( 240 = 290 ish at flywheel)
Tim
am I misunderstanding this? 290HP at the flywheel for a modified 5.0l Griff? that's pretty poor IMHO when one considers that standard is supposed to be 320 (I realise that TVR fabricate this
) and with mods should be well above that....anyone care to enlighten me? thanks
Tom

As discussed before, a good standard 500 delivers aroud 250-270 real bhp. So 290 means the mods added 20 bhp which sounds o.k. looking at the mods involved. A different cam and an ACT carbon inlet would give another 20-30 bhp bringing the total to 310-320 which is what most modders achieve.

Is that why GM scrapped the RV8 technology, after designing it?.. Because it had limitations?
Would be nice to know how the engine got here from the US... any historians in here?
The RV8 was bought from Buick, back at the end of the 60s.
The first incarnation of the engine was seen in the Rover P5B, the 'B' being used to denote Buick.
So as you can see it was a sorry day that such a longstanding engine ceased production.

Ditto. Three standard 4.5 Cerbera's and two identical low reading (Ted's was even lowerbut he knew his wasn't running right)
Slightly confusing though are the wheel figures for what I take to be the 4ltr cars at around 170bhp, which is about right
. Good strong average 5ltrs would normaly be around the 22Obhp wheel figure too

Yep, must be this RR is underreading by 10% or so in comparison to e.g. Austec's.
So how is Grizzly these days? Glad to see you still have it.
