1/4 mile times??

can anyone tell me what cerbs/tuscans etc can run the 1/4 mile strip in and at what speed so i can have a sensible conversation with my american friends!!

Around 12.5 secs with an expert drag strip driver I believe. There is a website with a list of best times for lots of different cars somewhere ...

I would take the figures from "autocar" as they have been testing to the same formula for years

Cerbera 4.2 12.4 @ 117 mph
Cerbera 4.5 12.6 @ 117 mph
Tuscan 4.0 spd 6 12.8 @116mph
Griff 500 12.8 @ 111mph

The Cerb 4.2 tested by "autocar" was suspicously(sp?)

V8S 4.0 13.7 & 110 mph

Thought I might do it properly this time and stay the whole weekend and get two days of dragging in .
Not sure of Craigs plans but I would imagine this to be a Hants TVRCC event too .

it is just from the 1/4 -> 1/2 mile flag .
As already mentioned there is probably a chance the 4.2 was a factory press car and had been breathed on .

The 4.2 press car that out pulled all those other supercars on one of JC's videos was not completely standard. If it was the same car or had had similar treatmenr in Blackpool I'm not surprised it was quicker.

Put slicks on a Cerbera, strap a massive ram induction throttle body on it, leave the bonnet behind... completely standard... and you should be able to easily pull high 11's....

The 4.2 press car only featured a decat and was dyno'd in Autocar after pulling suspicious figures... I believe they found it to be bang on figures wise (as a few 4.2s are) - its beyond me to work out why no one can just accept that a 360bhp blackpool rocket is - quite simply - f'kin quick.

Get the launch right, and its seriously not going to be troubled by anything less than a Porsche GT2/ modified turbo.

I thought the cerb in JCs video was a 4.5

The 4.2 is 300cc lighter so will always be quicker.
