What are you like?
Discussion
Why am I asking the question? Well, I was with a client the other day and I noticed he was a bit of a petrolhead (I noticed lots of car pictures on his office wall). I mentioned that I've got a Tiv for my weekend pleasure and we ended up chatting about Tiv owners.
He's a Ferrari fan and he reckons that Tiv owners are often referred to in the same vane as members "real ale drinkers" - middle class, middle aged and slightly eccentric!
When I consider myself, I'd say that I'm middle class, middle aged (40) - but I don't think that I'm eccentric. But, there again, a mad man doesn't think he's mad!

And what does that make Ferrari fans?
I'm just driving a car that I have longed for and worked bloody hard so as to be able to realise my dream.
Me.... real ale drinker? - yup
middle class? - no place for social categories in my eyes.
middle aged? - can't deny that!
and slightly eccentric? - yup

Just 28 so hardly middle aged. And still single, so I feel even less middle aged not having to talk about babies and cushions.
Otherwise I like a nice real ale, don't pidgeon hole my class and certainly don't consider myself the best person to assess my own sanity.

Hmmm,
Middle aged - 32 so no.
Middle class - don't like the pidgeon holeing of class, you are who you are, I find people who aspire to a certain social stature obnoxious and deluded with grandure generally.
Real ale drinker - Red Stripe is the weapon of choice for me.
Eccentric - Hmmm, yep could well be to a certain degree, love thumbing through the walls of old vinyl records with a good glass of 'cab' bit of a John Peel scenario going on.

Well I think I blow that demographic out the water
31, but had the TVR since I was 26, I hope I'm going to make it past 60 so not middle aged
Unemployed dole boy, so call me whatever class you like
And the fizzier the lager the better, and if no ones looking I'll even down an AlcoPop

Is 35 middle aged? Only if I die at 70 so can't tell yet! Neither British, nor a beer/ale/lager drinker. Scotch, Vodka and red wine - all the way! Class? Yes, got loads of it (of course I do, I drive a Tiv!) but it's not upper, middle or lower! Eccentricity?? I certainly hope so (well at least that's what my mates said when I decided to buy a Tam instead of... well anything else!).
