ooerr, I've decided to go this year (car jackers willing) & unfortunatlely the ball & chain has decided to invite herself along

I've looked for hotels over there & they all seem to be booked up, I've mentioned the idea of camping to her & I reckon the thought of stopping in a tent has almost put paid to her idea of going

What's the best way of travelling, eurostar, ferry etc ?

Presuming I'm not going to find a guest house or hotel, which of the camping sites do you recommend ?

Friday, saturday & sunday night seems to fit in quite nicely with work commitments.

General admission or one of the grandstands ?

I've got sprint & the MG owners club mag (don't ask) & they are both offering tickets at various prices.

General admission gets you in and you need a grandstand ticket if you want to see the start/finish.

Not any more. TVRCC tickets sold out in 2 days.

Sounds like you need a package. Try Bonne Route or similar agencies.

Try looking for hotel accommodation again after the end of this month.

Our experience is that many hotels take repeat bookings and reservations year on year. Any that are not confirmed by the end of this month are then released for re-sale.

Although we've not been for a couple of years, We recently tried ringing a few Hotels we have used previously and they are all saying the same thing

What about a B&B? Thats what were doing. Its a bit further toward tours, but it keeps the rest of the family happy. Plus, its possible to have a nice shower!
