TVR Power races to Silverstone TVR

Partnership to offer more cars, services and products

TVR Power has announced its partnership with Silverstone TVR for the sale of new cars. The partnership offers the following services:

• Customers can visit the Silverstone Circuit based showroom seven days a week to evaluate the model line up and test drive cars, or just to enjoy a friendly chat in the showroom café.
• Part exchange cars are welcome and a Sale or Return service is also available.  
• Service and maintenance, including warranty repairs, can be carried out at TVR Power and Silverstone with courtesy cars and a collection and delivery service (subject to availability).

Customers interested in the new Sagaris should note that all cars delivered in 2005 by Silverstone TVR Power will qualify for a free driver training session to explore the full potential of their new car (dates to be advised).

You can also upgrade your new TVR from the shared range of tuning, accessory and track-day packages. Products include:

• Wheel upgrades
• Suspension
• Exhaust upgrades
• Lighting upgrades
• ICE installations
• Road Angel
• Tracker
• Clifford alarms
• Road and track tyres
• Brake pad upgrades
• Race-spec traction control.

Interesting to see mention of traction control at the bottom of the options list.

I spoke to Racing Green a couple of years ago after they announced the development of a racelogic traction control installation for the Tuscan.

As I recall they said the project was discontinued after the factory made it clear that they didn't want a dealer offering traction control on new cars.

I wonder if TVR have now changed their policy on TC ?

I understand that this may be an option on the Sagaris as one of the WarksTVR group is having this fitted to his new build car ...because he wants to hill climb it!

Had a discussion with Matt at Silverstone about the TC system they are looking at and it sounds bloody great. Will certainly be dropping in to see what it is like at some point. Should make the limits of the performance more exploitable / accessible.

This alliance with Power should make Silverstone the dealer of choice for Red Rose cars then.......and I am on the door step......damn that overdraft limit.

Quite good but not one of my favourites prefer to buy a porsche with the money.

And, if so, does that open the door for a combined ABS/TC Stability package?

As an option from new - owners would tick the box and buy that, I'm certain.

IMO it would make a TVR a genuine alternative to Porsche/Merc/BMW's performance cars and could open up a whole new market for them.

Today TVRs are enthusiasts' cars. With such options available - more mainstream purchasers could be persuaded to buy British...

Of course - the purists will all cringe at the very thought...

Hey! There's nothing wrong with the C2. My VTR has been brilliant! Over 9000 miles in 4 months and it's been brilliant!
