I took my Dad to Silverstone TVR on Saturday to test drive a Tamora. He is trying his hardest to find a way to import one into the USA. Obviously the fact there is no LHD version is a big hurdle at this moment, even before tackling USA legislation. =( I think we were both blown away the car and very pleased with the service from Steve and Mark at Silverstone. They realised that we were not going to make a purchase on the day, but allowed us both a test drive.

The Tamora was a fantastic car, even though I could not use very much power in the damp conditions. The difference between the modern cars and my V8S is incredible especially the ride quality. I barely used half throttle, and the power was awesome. Time to save up for a T350 I think.

If anyone owns a Tamora I can recommend speaking to Silverstone about their package of styling / performance mods for car, especially about the special light weight alloy wheel package (developed using the tricks they learnt at Prodrive).

They seemed very confident about the direction TVR is moving in and suggested that the 8, or so Sagaris demonstrators should be ready to roll in a few months. I asked about the progress of the Typhon, but TVR are still trying to tame the volcano under the bonnet.

Yep, guys at Silverstone are great… I test drove a Tamora with fellow PH'er Ed, who bought one… and Silverstone helped me in my search for a Chim. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The boys at Silverstone are absolutely first class. I have never been into a dealership which is so customer focused (I work in the motor industry, so that is a fair few) and I am not just talking about securing a deal but the ongoing post sales service.

The way these lads have dealt with me has made owning the Tamora a pleasure. At the 1k service they rectified the minor nit-shit that arrises in any car during run in and the thing is running as sweet as a nut, could not be happier with it. Any little issues have always been sorted on the spot, especially if you are on the A43 with a bit of a thirst on.

The thing that sets them apart is the fact that they always make time for you, nothing is ever a hassle and the place is buzzing with energy generated from having a young and enthusiastic team.

Mark left the dealership about 5/6 months ago. It would have been Matt and Steve you spoke to.
