the first was the original speed 12 concept & the 2nd is (I think) the trident iceni, saw one on the road once.

Yup, first is the second version of Speed12 and second is Trident Iceni - company now defunked.

More great British sportscars - never built!

Concur with the other posts, there were two "Speed 12"s... the ACTUAL Speed 12 (as in those pics), and the tamer(!) Cerbera Speed 12.

Nope, There were two different bodies of the original Project 12/7 (aka Speed 12) shown twelve months apart and then came the Cerbera Speed 12. The picture shown is of the second version of the Speed 12 before the engine was dropped into a very modified Cerbera.
