Yesterday I accidentally driven down a dead end road (in my Merc boxedin ) leading to a shopping plaza in the middle of Southend and stumbled across a Ferrari meet about to leave in the middle of Southend, so I sat in the car surrounded by gathered crowd with my window down listening as the Fezzas were leaving..... after the cars had left and the crowd was dispersing one "gezzer" turned round to me sitting in my merc and said "bet you wish you had one of them" trying to make feel inadequate in my car...... I just said "Nahhh!!!" paused a bit "I own a TVR" the look on his face just turned in a beaming smile like a drunk person has, and a high five..... made my chuckle to myself all the way home smile

Last month we were driving bacvk through France from our summer holiday in Spain.
A Dutch car came along side and a guy took a few photo's. A week later I got an email from the Autogespot web site informing that the Dutch chap had posted the photo's
I love the photo's but it was his comment that made me smile the most....."What a magnificent car! A real piece of automobile art." smile

That's a cool story smile I was at an all makes car meet in France this morning, two chaps were looking at the Cerbera and one said it was a Ferrari, the other pointed at the TVR badge on the bonnet trying to correct him, but he wouldn't have it... to him it was a Ferrari with a TVR badge smile Still not sure if that's a compliment or not.

I was away from 6th August to 23rd in the Tuscan. Covered at least 2300 miles through France, Belgium Germany and back to France for a friends 50th party in Burgundy.

My highlight was whilst staying in Attenkirchen, just North of Munich, I was asked by the guys in the local 'drinking' club who used my hotel to fire up the Tuscan...The best English speaker said he'd googled TVR Tuscan - and went on to discuss the plans for TVR re-birth etc.

And all of this in Porsche/BMW/Audi country.

Wherever we stopped the car always drew a group...I was chuffed.

When I brought my Griffith over to its new home, I stopped at a rest near Karlsruhe iirc. I was approached by a trio of british senior citizens traveling by bus who were quite taken by the car.

One of the two ladies asked to take pictures of the car because her grandson was a complete car nut and it would make his day. I had a conversation with the gentleman and as it turns out, apparently he rode shotgun in a TVR Typhon once as his mate has one. Small world biggrin
