Not going point any fingers, but some useless idiot decided that he was going to tint my rear lights, when he re-sprayed the car.

I want to remove the tint effect.
Any one know of any substances that I can use or methods that will help remove the tint.

He applied so much of the tint spray that at night the rear driving lights are almost not visible.

What an idiot!!!!

If I tell you the stuff he damaged on the car,I'd go on for ever.
Anyways that's a different matter, and the trading standards and my solicitors are dealing with that.

There's still people on these forums handing their cars over to him.

Oh boy

Failing that, try some thinners but be careful not to get any on the paintwork.

I only know this because some tipped nail polish all over my wifes car and thinners was the only product that seemed to get it off easily but it does make paintwork go dull and needs to be repolished.

G3 bodywork refinisher will clean it off and at the same time restore the lenses to as new removing any scratching etc, available at any car paint suppliers or bodyshop.

Yeah, he did a good job on the spraying, just every thing else...

example: he broke my Sat Nav, DVD panel
Lost my badges
Left the car in a tip
Did not bolt the whole hood down
Did not reconnect the passenger door(it flew open on the way home from his garage at 80+ mph ::
etc
etc

Like I said: I'd rather jump off a bridge then let him touch my car again

I too have satnav, and my car's going for a respray next week! Am using a place called Option 1 near Bromsgrove, and to be honest, I'm dreading it!! Silly really, but like you, I haven't had much luck with others being let loose on my car for vast sums of money!
Is your's almost sorted now?

i know your car pena,it was in my mates garage and their are differently two sides to this story
if i remember right u had it picked up and it just got back to garage due to nothing working arm out window to open door,no wipers no heaters loads more wrong,
they done the paint job and then you said you had no money this was about march, after solicters letters you paid for it in december.
and as for the lenses i know for a fact he gave you those as u wont buy new ones.i was their when he told you they were old ones that had been tinted to dark ,you said you liked them at the time.
as for the wiring last i heard tvr power and silverstone condemed it.

There are always two sides to every story, I don't think that a public forum is the place to wash ones linen dirty or otherwise.
