First we learn that the Sagaris wheelarch vents are fake. Is that Max Power or what? Distinct loss of street cred there. Why not fit mesh to protect bodywork against stones thrown up?
Then we learn that there is an 'underbonnet temperature' problem with the Typhon. What? This is TVR, since when have TVR had a problem designing vents. If there is any company that can rapidly change the bodywork it has to be TVR.
There is a strong smell of B******t emanating from Blackpool these days. Does anyone have an inkling of thec truth?

From the various postings round the forums, its not the bullshit, its lack of proper information that's causing rumour and speculation.
They must have sat down at Blackpool and agreed a business plan, how about sharing it with the poor who want to know what's happening with their cars?

Aren't you being a little over sensitive, or perhaps over-critical for the sake of it?

There are lots of changes going on now the company is in new ownership, and there's bound to be a period of shakedown. NS has inherited some designs from a previous team, and wants to make TVR profitable and reliable, but with models he has not had any input into designing.

Effectively, he's trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, in some areas.

Give it time, and we should all benefit

Soorry but i agree with s2art, there has been plenty of time to show even the slightest improvment, but all i hear is silence from the factory.
I am sad to say that due to what is not happening IMHO, i am selling my TVR.
Very very sad day for me, i know some of you members may think i am being over sensitive, but its just how i feel.
Very disappointed with it all, hope Nic manages to sort it all out and TVR can become the mark it should be

Gotta agree with Nubbin on this.

Firstly, the factory doesn't HAVE to give out ANY information unless it wishes to do so… other companies don't, so why should TVR..?

Selling your car because of this, is a touch over-sensitive. I can understand your frustration, but it seems to me that you're "cutting your nose off to spite your face"…

Changes take time, and Blackpool has undergone a big shake-up. Added to which NS is testing the water and seeing what people do, and do not like...

What people don't like is arranging a holiday with the dutch tvr club around a factory visit and then getting a call that due to new management the rules are changed and to piss off.... One of our members who knows some people at the factory had to call and ask them if they were insane to let down 50 enthusiasts who make the effort to travel so far to see their beloved mark. What people also don't like is to see that the guys working at the factory look sad and can't openly speak about the cars the make. These are the same guys who were looking happy and telling us about all the things we wanted to know just a few years ago...

So about NS i didn't get the impression that he is a very nice guy with a true love for the brand and this makes me sad.

TVR used to leak information like a sieve in a way that no other car manufacturer did. They've tighted things up and are behaving in a more commercially sensitive way - that's good for business but frustrating for us.

We'll just have to wait and see... Motor Shows may become a source of true excitement again rather than everyone knowing what's coming anyway (that's a few scoops that PH won't get now though ).

I can understand the disappointment, but people seem to have forgotton that people are in business to make money, rather than provide a club that everyone can enjoy.

PW had a very informal way of doing things and ran the company as a hobby… NS doesn't. To him it's a business.

So you are selling a "Wheeler era" Cerbera becuase you don't agree with Smolenskie's management style? That would be rather like selling a DB5 because one didn't agree with Aston moving from Newport pagnell Rich...

Those who were at the TVR Ride & Drive event last week will confirm that
the staff from the factory that were there, were very open to discussing things
and very happy with TVR's plans.

Agreed that selling a Cerbera because of lack information doesn't add up?

That's very nice to hear! Maybe the silence which was layed upon them has cleared and they are free again to give info and their opions.

NS is a very nice guy, very different from Wheeler. How many other marques allow factory visits...? not many is my guess.

They are just becoming IMO more professional. There is a lot of stuff to sort out at the factory - give it time, NS has only owned the factory for a few months.

GIVE HIM A BREAK and stop moaning.

At which point all the married men on the forum know to lightly smile, inwardly smile and ask the same question again in weeks time

Seriously I hope it all comes out well in the end for the marque and the owners too.

I think Lotus, MG and Noble do factory tours. However, if the end result is a better car, then so be it!

So do the Ferrari factory, although I understand that it has to be pre-arranged and a special occasion. Something like a pre-arranged visit from 50-odd owners coming from another country would probably qualify. Hmmm.

Sorry, i didnt notmake it very clear, basically i have lost faith in TVR, mostly down to the Typhon Saga i must admit, but also just the general change at TVR seems to be one of uncertainty, i understand during the new take over these things happen, but we are quite away down the road now and it appears (maybe only to me)that nothing has improved, and may even have gone backwards.

As i said before this is only my opinion and it saddens me that i feel that way because i LOVE TVR

Oh yes,why im selling the Cerb? because with a Typhon at £80K i think i would rather spen the extra £40 and by a Ferrari Sorry!!!

I have started a previous thread asking this question, and the replies are always the same, though it is interesting to see the rising number of doubters!

Answer to the question above; NOBODY KNOWS OUTSIDE THE FACTORY and everything else is hearsay - which is the main problem from many of us.

NS or BS or somebody talk to us!

TVR staff happily talk.

It's a good job all TVR owners come from Lancashire then, isn't it? If TVR wanted to sell to a worldwide market they'd really be in trouble....

TVR send us all a Xmas card with a "Round-robin Newsletter" and announce dates for a series of customer liason days allowing you to see and drive the latest cars and you believe they are not talking to you? Get real will you - what do you want? A personal call from Ben every Friday afternoon Most manufacturers would just ignore you, I've got a deposit down on a Vantage V8 and I've had very little from the factory. For heavens sake what do you all expect? Rich...
