Any TVR's for sale in HK
Discussion
I've got an Elise but currently living in Hong Kong and really fancy a TVR or something else fun. I was thinking of maybe buying a 20 year old Griffith or Chimera to bring out (avoiding HK car tax). Although if there's anything for sale here I guess it'd be worth seeing first!! I've searched but not found anything yet...
All the best,
Nick
PS. Any tips on maintenance for them out here?

Hi there.
If the car is 20+ years old on arrival, you won't avoid any tax at all.
What you will get however, as long as the car has matching numbers and is not LHD, is exemption from the pollution and noise control legislation, which someone tells me a TVR would fail! You can apply for this if the car is overseas and you need that certificate or exemption letter before you apply for the pre-registration inspection (which I understand is otherwise super strict - unlike the later MOT tests)
Not brought mine over yet.
