left exhaust....odd puff (tuscan)

ive noticed the left exhaust blows slightly more than the right one and every third or 'blow' is more powerful than the rest, any ideas ....should i prepare for the worse!!! (the car is due for a service)

Wouldn't be hugely worried just from that. One side could just be running richer than the other; could be any number of not-particularly-expensive things.

Now, if it looks like oil smoke that's coming out of it, and it's guzzling Mobil's finest at an accelerated rate, then it could be something altogether less cashflow-friendly.

Mine does that a bit at tickover and has done for the 15k miles or so I've done in it.

A: A serious TVR paranoid complex to notice that

Does it do it under lift off or accelleration, or when cold or hot?

If you're worried then a compression test could be informative.
