Discount on list price (new or used)

Do TVR dealers offer discounts off listed price of new or used? Looking at a tamora or T350 hopefully, and would prefer one with most of its factory warrenty still intact. I might stretch to new if I can get a discount (tight get)? anyone got a feeling on this?

I think you'll stand a good chance on a new car that a dealer has ordered and spec'ed himself, received it and now has sitting in his showroom depreciating. Some of these seem to sit at dealers for a very long time (I think lots of people ordering new cars want them to an exact spec so ignore these), so there must be pressure for them to discount just to improve turnover.

The only way to find out how bigger discount you can win for yourself is to have a go. I'm sure you will find the right car at a price that is sensible to you.

I had seen the discount offered on micronetshowrom, theres also alledged discounts on autoebid.com. What makes me wonder is whatcars target price matches list, perhaps the limited number of available cars is strengthening dealers. Guess we'll have to see what happens.
Also how do TVR dealers react to servicing cars sourced elsewhere? Obviously if I go down that route it wont be an import so they shouldn't be able to object.

I think generally dealers will service cars bought elsewhere - money is afterall money. But quite often TVR warranty payments don't cover the actual cost of a vehicle recovery/repair/warranty work, so TVR dealers will be reluctant to "put right" a car bought elsewhere.

In addition if you go into a showroom, drink their coffee, test drive their shiney new demo cars, take their brochures, waste their salesman's time etc (which all adds up and costs money afterall); and then buy elsewhere, without at least giving them the chance to match "the deal" you've been offerred elsewhere, you probably will find them less than accomodating when/if you break down.

Has anybody actually bought a TVR off mirconet showroom? I am aware of one LHD Tuscan they are advertising which doesn't belong to them and which the owner hasn't given them permission to sell on his behalf.

That does cause me concern especially as TVR dealers dont exactly grow on trees, I suffered from it on an impreza I owned bought eleswhere, local dealer didnt want to know when the engine developed piston slap (they all do that sir) had to take it further afield to get it done under warrenty.
