Greetings one and all!

I have been one of those people stalking you over the last few months, reading with interest of the trials and tribulations of TVR ownership. This site has kept me interested through many a boring day in the office!

I may be of the maxxed up saxo generation (21) but I am not impressed by boys in their clapped out novas scuffing along on 19inch alloys from halfords!

However, I always smile when I hear the passing rumble of a TVR V8, or the growl of a straight 6. Congratulations to all of you with the bottle (and patience) to drive performance cars in the UK today. I hope (once the student loans are paid off) to join you in a few years......

cheers!

my daughter (14) has been a fan for about five years, ever since a purple chim pulled up next to us in london.
with the looming prospect of uni costs getting nearer I said I would have to start some serious saving, she said " I'll go to manchester uni and the cash you save can get me a chimera instead"
thats all right then

Welcome

I remember staring at a Griff when they first came out for what seemed like no time at all, (nice officer asked me to move along )

I was at uni, thought I'd never be able to afford one

Got a Chim now, very happy

Once the TVR bug gets you, it won't go away.
I was determined to drive to Le Mans in my very own TVR having seen packs of these growling beasts blowing my doors of on the N138! One year into my TVR ownership, and having blasted down to Le Sarthe in my 450 Chimaera this June, my only regret is I didn't buy one sooner! Welcome to the crazy mad world of TVR...

I haven't been to le mans yet in any type of transport let alone tiv' - I guess I will have to make ammends next summer on fear of loosing any credentials as a petrolhead!

Bloody hell, lad. Get your ass down to your nearest TVRCC (hopefully your reasonably close to the scots clan )
Get out to some track days (even as a spectator - blag some rides!!).
'Next Summer' they'll be banned!! ...

Thats amazing. I am looking to lend my Cerbera to a TVR loving student to just keep it ticking over when I am not able to drive it.

What are friendly bunch of folk! I will check out the TVRCC scotland site over the weekend - it looks like I have been well and truly dragged into the PH banter!

Thanks again.

There are three north-of-the-border TVR meets.

The Central one meets on the first sat. of the month at Powmill (just north of Knockhill).

West meet on the third sunday of the month - new venue this month (i.e. this sunday) in Strathblane.

And the Nessies (N.E.Scotland - Aberdeen bunch) meet haphazardly whenever they feel like it.

Look at the TVRCC website for details - except that the west meet details will now be wrong...

Have fun!
