T350 to sagaris conversion
Discussion
Hello all I am currently working on a t350 to sagaris conversion. So far I have removed the accident damaged t350 shell from the un damaged shell and have almost completed piecing together the sagaris shell (it came in many parts, back and front seperate etc)
I intend to do an engine swap to increase power so far on the short is obviously the Ls range, Dodge Viper or tuned Toyota supra.
I've not owned a Tvr before so I've just signed up to pistonheads so that as I go along I will be able to share ideas and more than anything ask for!
So first thing that is playing on my mind is if I should ajust the chassis with sagaris rear upper wishbones and sagaris wishbone mounting points (I have sourced copied parts)
Apparently it is a real b
h changing the front ones....
Wheel spacers seem like a bodge
So the other solution I've just though of is seeings as I plan to increase power to 500-600bhp maybe wider rear wheels arnt such a bad idea? And whilst I'm at it I'll change the front ones adjusting them to fill the arches correctly with the offset
What do you think?

Good Luck with that and I hope it works out, a Buddy of mine did a Tuscan/Sagaris Targa conversion and its a beautiful car but I believe it cost a pretty penny to do it.
If that's the orange one that was at Burghley, then it is stunning and I wanted to buy it there and then. IMHO a non-convertible TVR is not for me, and that car solved that issueBut then I got to thinking about eventual re-sale.....

thats exactly the problem that prevented my from buying. if done properly there is quite serious cash spent on that But then I got to thinking about eventual re-sale.....
sort of project but at the end of the day once you sell the car it´s still a tuscan or T350 in papers and this can
be a problem in regards of sale price of the car. otherwise for sure nice project

I have worked as a mechanic in the past on and off and more recently am remapping I also have experience building so I'm fairly good with my hands and im not afraid to ask for help or advice. The body is not a body kit or a copy it is an original sagaris shell from the factory , I've no idea what happened to it before I bought it but it was incomplete and has taken quite a bit of 'glueing' together.
For those of you that are concerned about the costs, so far at least it has not been expensive and it is very unlikely I will sell it after its done anyway. I already have s small collection of 'never selling' toys to add to.

This thread will be a good one to follow, The remarks about cost are relevant but its a personal decision.
I personally love the Sagaris but wanted open air driving, with that mind set costs become secondary.
I know both John and I built our cars because its what we wanted. residual value really isn't important.
Keep the photos coming, it'll be interesting to follow the progress
