group 1 child seat in a Chimaera?

Well, our sproglet is rapidly outgrowing the group 0+ baby seat so I'm on the lookout for a group 1 seat that fits the Chimaera.
Unfortunately Babies-R-Us tells me that all of their range suffer from buckle crunch. Has anyone got any that fit and don't foul with the buckle.
The other suggestion was to shorten the buckle fixing to move it down a few inches.
