The insurance is coming up for renewal on my 450 Chimaera and the quote is £660 from Sunninghill. I've got a full no-claims bonus and a restricted mileage policy (3000). Is this a good price for a 40+ TVR driver? I was considering joining the TVRCC and checking out the 'exclusive' deal for members - any PH TVR drivers gone through the TVRCC for insurance? Is the TVRCC worth joining anyway>

Sounds a little steep, but i've never bettered a quote from sunningdale insurance, also if you have a problem they are always very helpfull. If you do insure with them DON'T GO with norwich union.

Andrew Manning is reccomended by the club.

mine: TVRInsurance.

Two good quotes for my griff (track days, good milage etc).

Is the TVRCC worth joining anyway?
Absolutely - I've met some good friends though the club, Discounted track days, Sprints (read the Duxford accounts on the various regions web sites), Runs out in belting countryside at STUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPID speeds with other delusional TVR nutters - for no reason, Advice, BBQs, caps, mugs, keyrings - yes all right, you can be as anoraky as you want, etc etc.

Or you could sit in Tescos car park and fiddle with your radio...
