Edinburgh and TVRs
Discussion
Just a bit of info for anybody looking at buying a Tiv in the Edinburgh area. One of the salesmen from what used to be Brandon is setting up on hiw own, dealing in all marques of sports cars but specialising in TVRs. From experience he's extremely helpful, very knowledgable and more importantly, very honest.
I think initially he's going to be based out the back of Brandon/Western's premises and he's already started building up a stock of some nicely specced Chimps and Griffs. No doubt he'll post here when he's up and running. Just something to bear in mind though.
Talking of which, has anybody heard how Logik are getting on since they took over the franchise?

Their is a rumour that Brandon and TVR are speaking again, so I would not bet it is a salesman collecting cars at the back of Brandon. It is not normally a feature of Western's corporate policy to encourage small time competition to exist on their premises. I will await the outcome with interest (not that it will affect me in the slightest !!).
A couple of things. I have come to know the man in question very well and he has been incrediably helpful and honest with myself and a friend of mine who have had nothing but excellent service from him when compared with terrible service and attitude from Logik. Although he has a lot of experience with TVR, the fact he worked at Brandon is insignificant. Brandon are gone, end of story.
As for Logik and "Brandon", there is no ongoing link at all as far as I know. When the franchise moved, that was it, end of story. I think the only ongoing issue with Brandon (if they even exist as a company any more) is the issue of resolving disgruntled Tuscan customers which was a major factor in them giving up the franchise, along with the fact TVR were forcing them to take x number of new cars every month. If anybody has been to Logik and seen how many cars they have in stock, you'll understand why this system just doesn't work!
Anyway, I just thought I'd pass the info on. I know a number of people who have bought cars from him already and have nothing but good words to sat about the whole experience. Having had some bad experiences with Logik already, I thought it would be useful for anyone considering buying to know that there is an alternative out there. And yes, he recommends guys like Noel V8 for the servicing having worked with him years ago.
