Anyone got any spare rear shocks?
Discussion
I am going to get my shocks refurbed through Ben at Blackdown but want to keep the car at least moveable/driveable while my Bilsteins are away - it could take up to two weeks.
Cheeky question - has anyone got a spare pair of rear coilovers for a Griff/Chimaera/Tuscan etc I could buy?
TIA

I've got my old billies laying around too if things go awry
+1 in Burton on Trent
This has got me thinking now - are they yellow Bilsteins with yellow springs - if so I can get them refurbed instead of mine and then only need to take the suspension to bits once.
Many thanks for this - why hadn't I thought of doing it this way. YHM x 2...

Hi, yes I did - gimme a minute and I'll try again - are yours yellow with yellow springs?ETA PM resent but doesn't look like they're working as I'm not getting a copy to my own inbox. PH is falling to bits.
Drop me a mail to

Thanks for the offers people - Chilli I'll have all four if you're ok with that - I'll pay for packing and postage and extra for the shocks themselves if need be (or a donation to a charity of your choice). It'll save loads of time just doing all this the once. PM's don't seem to work so

Many thanks to everyone who offered!
I took Chilliwhizz up on his very kind offer of four shocks which arrived today in great condition - they will be going straight off to Bilstein for refurbishment and retuning/revalving to 'late Tuscan 2' spec, with new single rate rear springs and a full new set of bushes.
Having spoken at length to Ben at Blackdown - link here , the final 2005-ish cars fitted with yellow Bilsteins were retuned by Bilstein themselves in conjunction with some big names in chassis tuning who were also responsible for the Ford Focus and DB9 amongst others.
Griff geo is very different to the speed 6 cars, particularly on the front, but the settings apparently transfer across well to the Rover engined cars for a good value fit and forget road setup. I hope.
Once fitted, I'll get the geometry done, and report back on what the car feels like - from a non driving god's perspective
