window tints ????
Discussion
Nothing wrong with tinting... or lowering, or bigger wheels or headlamp conversions or loud exhaust systems... just get these jobs done by reputable people who dont make a mess of it! Although anyone can tint windows with the film, there is an electro-film out there, basically you flick the switch and they film goes dead-black... dont know who makes them but I'm looking for that kit myself!
I think the things which are mostly frowned upon are dodgy bits of bodywork stuck on and crazy neons everywhere... and those headlight eyebrows and crazy ALPINE stickers everywhere and neon light strings going around the interior...

Had my T350's windows tinted from new. At the time it had no luggage cover so I tinted the rear hatch limo black to protect from prying eyes. Trouble was it looked odd then, so I put a lighter tint on the rear side windows. It still didn't look right so I put an even lighter tint on the door windows.
I was never a fan of privacy glass but now I like the look and it keeps the car much cooler when you get the sun beating down on you from the side.
There's no photo in my profile but it's the silver (03) one for sale in the classified section if you'd like to see what it looks like.

the cop shop have little light sensor things that they can use to test if you are legal or not.
They use em on the gary boys and the bikers.
it's quite a light tint to be honest, but once in place on a car (with the already darker interior, it's well dark enough.
"Windscreens on vehicles first used before April 1985 must let in 70 percent of light to stay legal. That figure rises to 75 percent for vehicles issued after that date. Front-side windows on all vehicles are required to let in 70 percent of light"
is it just me, or is the last bit superfluous....
my 300zx TT had tinted rear and sides. Rear was probably illegal (wasn't me), but never had any bother.
I reckon it's down to:
1) being really stupid and having backed out windies
2) being a ned/chav in which case you get the attention you deserve.
morebenz: that's the first cerb I've ever seen that looks good. I reckon black is the only colour it works in for me.. just needs a few fins up the back and a batman suit for you and your off cruise-aid-ing! :-)

Byff has red tints on his Cerbera side windows. Looks great because the colour is a spot on match for the car.
It's pretty easy to do yourself, but you must put a good layer of nail varnish around the edge or the film will peel. I didn't put enough on and now it's starting to come away and looks horrible up close.

Do you mean the first Cerb that looks good, or the first Cerb with tints that looks good?
The picture in his profile has his car with the windows wound down

think you answered your own question there.
