Hi, i have an Orange TVR Tuscan which i am trying to find out the actual colour. Had several suggestions but this has still only narrowed it down to 4 possibilities!
Cameleon Orange or
Lambourghini Arancio Atlas or
Lambourghini Arancio Borealis or
Arancio California Orange?

anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Martin

I think you can rule out chameleon orange, since yours appears a lot lighter in colour than mine

If the body code is PPG 039 then its Lamborghini Arancio Borealis i believe.

I had mine painted and that's the colour on the Surface and Design invoice

Yes, its a lot lighter, your car looks fantastic first i have seen in that colour. I didn't think it was chameleon but it was written on some paperwork that came with the car, that takes it down to three.

As long as its the colour the car left the factory in it'll be on the plate in the engine bay.

Martin, note i've edited my post PPG 039 is Arancio Borealis.

If you do have the body code and it is anything other than PPG 039 give Malcolm a call at Surface and Design 01253 595800, he's very helpful and i'm sure he'll be able to give you the colour.

Arancio Atlas....

My advice....use the code as a guide...I had a front end respray and the code was worthless, paint matching us the best approach with 5 colour samples etc to get the right match.

Isn't the code also written in the owners handbook ( well more like a leaflet for my 96 Cerbera).

Well, the body colour code on mine in in the boot underneath the boot latch at the rear of the car. You really need to be inside the boot to read it !!

Looks similar to my old car. Listed as 'Arancio Atlas Pearl' which was the Lamborghini colour with a few coats of pearl lacquer from the factory.

That looks the same colour as mine, which I was told is based on Lambo Arancio California. But, apparently, TVR used to vary the mix slightly so as to be not exactly the same as the original. Not sure if this is correct or not, but more than one person has insisted this was the case.....

I think the best advice is as stated above - use the code as a guide only, the paint may well have faded a fraction since it was first painted anyway. Any good outfit will have a device to scan the car itself (is this a Spectrometer?) and then they'll mix paint to match how the car is now.

Good luck!

Your code NTC2B is the Nexa formerly known as ICI formulation code. It is Arancio California which as far as I am aware is the same colour as Arancio Borealis.
olderandwiser is spot on that TVR tweaked the original Lambo colour code 0058 for use on TVR's.
The best thing you can do is find a Nexa paint supplier and you should get a good match using your code.
