Help from TVR factory

Hi all, a little story to make a change from the whingeing!!!

Just phoned Blackpool to check a detail on the original spec on my car (99 chim). Receptionist sounded confused but said Lisa would ring back. An hour later Lisa's rung back, taken my query, checked with someone and come back with a definate answer that I needed.

This is the third time I've phoned the factory for help and info, never spent any money with them yet each time the response has been helpful and positive.

So thanks Lisa and TVR head office!!!

Someone I knew was looking at an old tvr 's' in auto trader a few years ago. He phoned the factory for some advice and was put through to Peter Wheeler! He had no idea who Peter Wheeler was but I nearly fell off my chair laughing.

I must say the factory has been superb re: the loan car situation while I'm waiting for my Sagaris. I've been enjoying a loan car since December. Alright so it developed engine problems last week but a replacement t350 is being sent down this week. No complaints from me.

Not wanting to stir up the Speed 6 debate again, but can you let us know loaner you had and what went wrong? I'm considering stepping up to a [second-hand] T350 so am very interested in people's experiences with them and especially their reliability as it would be my only car - amazingly I've not had any real problems with the Chim...

Rather than going off topic on this thread, can I suggest that you do a search on speed 6 or visit the forum for more information than you'll probably want to know!

Yep, I have phoned the paint shop twice to inquire about paint codes and paint not matching and have been put through to some very helpful guys who have sorted things out for me, as well as gone through spraying techniques. Top Marks TVR.

I must add to the pro factory lobby. I've called them a number of times over the last 6 years and always had a reply to my questions

Last time I called , got a Mr.B Samuelson answered the phone . Never heard of him !
