Calling me a troll is also an insult! I am 100% pro TVR - just amazed Pistonheads are closing all threads regarding something that is happening at TVR which is important!

No I was waiting for you to post, couldn't remember your name. I closed your thread as I thought the TVR thread was still open, when I noticed it was closed I went back to delete my post and opened yours but by mistake deleted your post which then deleted the whole thread. I can't restore it.

It's a difficult situation...

Yes, we all want details of what's happening. But, that's kind of secondary to the primary people that this affects - the staff in Blackpool. If we get more fact/speculation/gossip now or in a week won't really affect us, but it could well have an impact on those who have jobs on the line, families worried about having bread on the table, etc.

At the end of the day, Smolenski's a businessman. By all accounts, yes he loves cars. But whatever he's doing will, no doubt, for one reason or another, be for the sake of the books. Lets just give this situation some time, as it's not likely to affect us, as customers, one bit in the long term besides delaying delivery of a new car by a few days or so.

TVR-Phoenix - exactly! most people who look at this thread tomorrow or Monday will have no idea of the original thread because it only existed for 4 minutes before it was erased! (it was not against TVR by the way - but criticising Pistonheads!)

Problem is, you've got a large number of the TVR community, I wouldnt mind if there was another local we could all hang out at and throw a few punches, and just be as loud as we want... but no joy, this is where we're all stuck, until another TVR community starts up.... so why cant you just accomodate ALL of us!

You got the news here.

You got a statement from TVR about it.

I stickied the thread so that everyone could read the news.

I closed it because the discussion about it was getting silly. If you didn't witness it then I don't think it's appropriate for you to start calling me a communist etc.

Any more of that and I'll send you to the Gulag

Ash, don't exaggerate. Rumours are one thing - the original discussion about the lay offs was blatently ignoring the facts that's why I stepped in.

Nanny website? What nonsense. Your old account got blocked because you changed your name to 'PetrolTed '. A quick email to me would have sorted that out.

It's a fine line between maintaining sanity on here and being accused of being a 'nanny'. Personally I think we get it right 95% of the time.

I agree, there has to be some control and protection for people on the forums otherwise it would degenerate into anarchy.

but the odd p***take doesn't do any harm

Petrol Ted - closing a thread is one thing, erasing it all together is something different!
