Yes. With mine there was no female thread left to bite onto. I ended up popping a spot of the supplied superglue on the tip of the screw, pushed it in the hole and clamped for a couple of mins whilst it set. I also chose not to use the superglue on the pipes. They held on tight enough without.
There's probably a better solution to your loose screws but when I was doing this job time was short.

I'd say give Leven a call - mine was fitted on site, so I don't know about fitting, but mine looks complete, so I'm sure Simon can give you some advice.
They say it's an improvement in function. I think mine has some cr@p in the holes (certainly no worse than before) but for the improvement in looks alone from that hideous return rail - gotta be worth the measly amount they charge!!

Posts like this always confuse me...
The screws are a bit of a swine, but then it does say in the instructions that you should use a jewellers screwdriver (IIRC - fitted so much Leven kit to my car I forget!) and patience.
However, what puzzles me iswhy post on PH? If you have a problemwith something speak to the people you purchased it from (eg the dealer) and if they can't help, then speak to the supplier direct (Leven in this case)... especially if you think your purchase is faulty, or there is an inherrant design fault.
IF neither are able to help, then yes have a moan... but without going against Teds "no name and shame" policy, becuase the way your thread reads to me seems to fall into that catagory.
Now IIRC you have recently changed jobs and will be dealing with suppliers... might I suggest that you speak to them if you have a problem, rather than posting on PH..

Please Corin please phone Leven and ask them for some advice, and can you let me know when you're going to ring so I can pop over and be a fly on the wall, with your track record on Leven products I think it would be ace to listen to

No-ones moaning the washers work great I just want to fix them together!

Sorry Podie - but you are wrong I have only ever questioned Leven once in my early days and had a barny with Mel (prior to my knowing ----------- Leven) ref kickplates (about 2 or 3 years ago) and about 6 months ago when I said I didn't like a gearknob - that's it!
I changed my Chimaera 3 months ago since then it has bee fitted with Leven...

To my previous one I fitted..
