Yes, just put one on order at a UK dealer

If by 'here' you mean the USA, errr, no it's not. But it's legal to drive here in the UK so you buy it and I'll drive it for you. Deal?

TO NLMCHIP,

I am going to try and sell my Tuscan in the USA this month. It was used in the Swordfish movie so thought it might sell for more in the US?

Other than E Bay can you reccomend the best way??

NICE EH

Surely there's a way that a Tomato can be tweaked to fit the US emissions regs? See if TVRNA know anything (the North American wing of the TVRCC) - I have a contact if you need it.

Ok, first of all, I'm the UK and European RO for the TVRCCNA so I try to keep up on matters relating to TVRs in the US. If there were easy and legal ways for US citizens to buy and drive modern TVRs there, someone would have set up an import agency by now. It's not just emissions - if the car isn't on the list, it doesn't get in

Sad fact is, it isn't. See all the threads in the US section about this.

Not sure, but I think there is more to it than emissions. I recall that all car models for use on the US roads have to go through a crash test to prove safety. I don't think anyone will have done this for a Tamora yet and I doubt that nlmchip will want to buy 2 just so that one can be tested.

IIRC in the US cars have to have bumpers which will take a 5mph collision without damage.

TVRs don't have bumpers at all...

Thank you all for answering my question.
It looks like Germany is my next try. We all know U.S. cars are not the most exciting!

I'm confused, Terminator. How does your position fit in with the 'International Organisers' as listed in Sprint? Is yours a new appointment?

'Dear confused of East Anglia....'

The TVRCCNA was run as a region of the TVRCC until 1989 when they formed a club in it's own right and it now has over 440 members. Like our club here, they have regional organisers and I'm the TVRCCNA RO for the UK & Europe, a position I've held for 6 years, I think.

The International Organisers listed in Sprint are generally the presidents of the various international TVR Car Clubs and Marshall Moore is President of the TVRCCNA.

Whilst on the subject of the TVRCCNA, full details of their annual club gathering, Woodwork, can be found here www.tvrna.com/woodwork22.html

Judging from the Pistonheads calendar, I'll be the only Pistonheader there
