Hi folks
Yesterday I took the car out and when I started it up there was a low battery warning flash, I haven't used it for a few weeks.
Whilst sitting in traffic after about 30 minutes the car just died, no power couldn't open the door a kind young lady then another gent gave me a push round a corner.
I got a jump start and managed to get home, I checked the battery and I was getting 11 8 volts, I started it up and was reading 13.5 volts, is there something that can suddenly drain the battery leading to a complete stop?
The battery is about 6 months old

Kind regards

James

Seems like you need to be checking all connections are tight both power and earth.
Both the heavy duty fuses would be a good place to start.

Thanks Steve,
I had to replace the fuse recently as it had disintegrated, I thought it was the alternator, bought a new one and when I went to replace it was when I found the faulty fuse.

What are you driving, Tuscan, griff, s, wedge?

I had this but it was an knackered battery, but mine was older than 6 months.....maybe disconnect the battery and monitor ove the next few days..if it drops then battery. Knackered and at that age it will still be under warranty.

There is another 80 amp strip fuse that supplies the fuse box normally located under the passenger side of the dash.
