Can anyone help - I need advice on the cerbies. I have had Chimeras for a number of years and have used them every day to commute into town ( never had a prob in 5 years!!) Baby on the ay and looking to get a more "sensible" car. Speed six, 4.2 or 4.5 not sure what to go for. Heard that the speed six has engine probs. Looking for a car to go to brum and back once a week and 2/ 3 days a week commuting into london. People keep recommending speed six or 4.2 but stay away from 4.5. Any advice?

Not much help i know but i was told AVOID speed six and go for as late a 4.2 or 4.5 as you can. I dont think there is that much difference between the 4.2 and the 4.5 ( talking to a mate thats had both) although he says his current 99/00 spec machine is much better than his 96 4.2

I've got a similar problem, thicking of getting rid of the chimp, and might try a cerby, but can only realy afford an early 4.2, will it wind me up with loads of problems which cost a fortune to fix, or do I go for good old Rover power in the shape of a newer chimp?

Don't rush! Your baby won't fit into the cerbera car seat until around 7 months old and fitting a newborn baby seat in the front, whilst leaving room for a passenger in the back is very hard!
