Just found out tonight that my father's mate who 'leaks' me stuff, is one of the 90 laid off.
Apparently most of the layoffs are older/ longer-serving staff.
Normal finish on a Friday was 2pm, they were handed letters at 1 o'clock.

Shoddy.

Despite certain denials I wouldn't mind betting it has a lot to do with the situation surrounding the union business.

Reducing the pension provision perhaps, assuming there was such a scheme at the factory .
