Not your usual Aston Martin number plate!
Discussion
Lots of us have gone from TVR to Aston Martin ownership and like the TVRs Astons can Travel Very Rapidly when requested.
ETA Although having looked at your profile a 4.3/4.7 V8 Vantage is possibly not going to be as quick as your 5.3 V8.
I'm sure that is a lovely thing to drive, used to love the torque of my Griff 500.

That's our car !
We have had 8 TVRs - all great. This is a 4.7 2013 Vantage. We still have a soft spot for TVRs but decided it was time to move on to another great British marque a few years ago after 7 happy years with a T350.

Always good to see an Aston with some colour, Cobalt Blue? Have you enjoyed your change of marques? We have had 8 TVRs - all great. This is a 4.7 2013 Vantage. Lovely colour.
I know that this is a TVR forum, but what's the general view about the Vantage or DB9?
Having had the Chimaera for well into double-figures years, was tempted by a 4.7 Vantage roadster manual. (Wouldn't want to sell the TVR though!)
Would only used as a dry weather (very) occasional use fun car and the Vantage strikes me as a more modern TVR - in a good way.
Quite a few TVR owners have also migrated to AMG SLK55s, but what else are TVR owners moving on to?

Hopefully, going by the number of deposits paid, quite a few will be moving on to the new TVR incarnation, the L.E., due to be revealed later this year. Having had the Chimaera for well into double-figures years, was tempted by a 4.7 Vantage roadster manual. (Wouldn't want to sell the TVR though!)

But sadly it's beyond my means, so I have moved on to another TVR S Series. Probably the best value fun for the money that you can get today.

After 7 years of TVR ownership I decided I fancied something different so I went for a XK convertible and have never regretted it
I Kept the TVR though and both are great cars in their own way and both very reliable
A tough call some days to decide what V8 to take.
A hint of rain and it's the Jag

A lovely car and a fantastic colour at a great festival. Did you all stay on for The Stranglers?
Re my 5.3, it's certainly a beast!!!
We stayed for about 6 or 7 songs from the Stranglers then decided to call it a day. We were not too impressed by the earlier bands too loud and not quite our musical taste. Still prefferable to sitting in traffic.Re my 5.3, it's certainly a beast!!!

Our last TVR was a T350 - had for 7 years and was a difficult decision to change to a 4.3 Vantage. The 4.3 vantage is a bit more GT than the T350 certainly more refined. The cobalt blue one is a 4.7 and 2014 spec and has quicker steering than early cars - but not quite as quick as the T350. Brakes are 6 pots and are very good, ride quality is also good but firm. Better than the T350 but the TVR was a 10 year older design. The biggest advantage is you don't worry about the temperature gauge !

The Stranglers were better than I was expecting with the exception of golden brown, which sounded slightly wrong! A great evening and hope to make it next year. Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
