As the car has been hit twice in the last 9 months and the alarm hasn't gone off once I am looking at installing a proximity alarm. The siren does work.
The car is a Griff with standard Meta alarm.
Are they worth fitting?
Would i be better to bin the Meta and install a new system with proximity?

I thought this too after I had my bonnet keyed.

So I bought a Clifford Concept 650. Only to find after the install that the protected area is an oval shape that only really beeps when you get close to the doors. The bonnet and boot areas aren't covered.

Will stop people putting mucky paw prints on the side window when noseying around though.

Do the Cliffords still do the Knight Rider trick?..."You are too close, back away from the car...NOW"

Just a shame it drew scrotes to it just so they could hear the car talking
