TVRcarParts.com

New online service acquires rights to Wedge and S parts

It's a new name on the block but one that we will probably hear a lot more about. TVRcarparts.com has recently acquired all the parts previously held by TVR for the S Series and Wedge cars.

As well as the physical parts which they've acquired, they have also obtained jigs, moulds and technical information allowing new parts to be made in future, commencing in the summer.

The company will be officially launched on April 4th. Up until then work continues on cataloging and stock taking. Behind the company are some TVR fanatics with many years experience of working with the marque.

On launch date a comprehensive website will be made available with all the facilities required to search, price and order parts for all models of TVR.

Contact: 01884 266755 (www.tvrcarparts.com from April 4th).

I hope they don't mind me spilling the beans, but remember the missing containers of Wedge parts.
This is where they've ended up.

I'm aware who is going to be manning the shop when the phone lines open for business and when the press release says "Behind the company are some TVR fanatics with many years experience of working with the marque" they mean somebody who can visually identify almost every Wedge part and tell you what variants there are. I.E. Someone who has lived in a TVR parts shop for donkeys years and knows the issues.

In short, the Wedge parts are in safe hands and I'm looking forward to finding out more on April the 4th.

Also......
They have the SEAC body moulds.
I'm told they are damaged but repairable.
Bloomin good news or what!!!!!!!!!!

I have purchased a few parts off them already for me 450SE.

I found them to be very knowledgeable ie. they knew the parts I required just by a brief description of them and not by any part numbers or markings.

They were also polite and enthusiastic on the phone (which makes a refreshing change from some suppliers i have bought bits off in the past!)

I also got the stuff when they said it would arrive and best of all it was the correct parts for the job not some wild guess.

Highly recommended.

Excellent news and probably a good long term business if the Griff / Chimp / Cerbie parts go the same way in the future.

CONFUSION
there is another website called tvrparts.com which is NOT related to tvrcarparts.com

tvrcarparts.com bought the Wedge and S factory parts.
tvrparts.com appears to be an Ebay auction site.

Neil is running tvrparts.com and says he doesn't mind making his name public.

Neil used to be the parts manager at Penninsula and we had been wondering where he had dissapeared to. He's been cataloguing the contents of those containers.

There is no connection between Penninsula and tvrcarparts.com but the word is that they expect to have a good working relationship.
