ACT Induction kit - a review and guide

Well after a few trial and errors with fitting I have to say what an improvement, I am usually sceptical about filtration claims but I have to say there is a marked difference!
The car seems more energetic, it is breathing far, far better and pulling much more cleanly through the rev-range (a bit like that Red Bull kick when you are waining!
)
If I had to fit one again it would take less than an hour tops but new to the configuration it took slightly longer than anticipated for those attempting the job here is the route I would take...
Firstly fill a bucket with very hot water and immerse hose ends in water prior to any fitment to soften the pipes!
1) Strip existing hoses filtration, unbolt airflow meter and the filter mount (13mm bolt on front panel under bonnet) etc
2) Fit stainless connector pipe to the long induction hose then offer to place, offer up the airflow meter to where it should bolt to inner wing then cut induction hose to length.
3) When cut rest in position with the stainless pipe poking throught the inner wing fit the next pipe in line (the one that links to the filter mount) not forgetting jubilee clips.
4) Re-bolt filter mount to front panel then fit filter.
5) Fit long induction pipe to airflow meter (not forgeting to slide on two extra jubilee clips for heat resitive matting) then catch the air flow meter retianing bolt to the inner wing.
6) Offer up the pipe that links the air flow meter to the plenum then cut to size before fitting.
7) Position your jubilee clips for the heat resistive matting sheilding from the manifold as intended.
8) Tighten all clips when happy with position.
...then enjoy!
The beauty of this set-up is you get all the benefits as intended without the Max Power induction roar, just a crisp improvement to your Tiv!
This set up is best executed on a ramp, if anyone in the South West wants it done I will happily do it F.O.C. in Plymouth at work.

Is that the Mod-Wise heat shield you have wrapped around the lower part of the induction piping?
