Recommended non-dealer servicing

Hello folks - new kid here. Help much appreciated!
I've got a Chimaera that could do with a once-over service and quick tidy up, but because it hasn't always had TVR servicing, I just wanted to ask if anybody knows of a good garage with knowledge of TVRs, but without the prices of a main dealer in either Surrey (nr Reigate) Hampshire/Berkshire (nr Basingstoke/Reading) or Cambridgeshire (nr Huntingdon).
It runs and works as is, but I'm using it as my wedding car so just want to tidy it up and get a 'professional' second opinion to ensure that everything's working smoothly after a winter mostly sitting in the garage!
Any suggestions would be VERY much appreciated!

I know it's not quite the same thing, but I used to have a Spit 1500 and if I couldn't be arsed to do something myself, I used to go find a man with a shed and a spanner so I'm kind of hoping the same thing's possible with a Chimaera if I can find one!
The V8's pretty agricultural anyway, so what harm can be done...

David Batty is a genuine fixer of all things mechanical and is also full of excellent advice. I have used him regularly for 2 years now without complaint. His telephone number is 01483 811995. "The Garage" is between Hindhead and Guildford.
You have to be organised and book in early as he is very popular(a good indicator in itself!)

The whole car is put together like a kit car, then vibrated apart again as the years go by! A knowledgable independant will know which areas of the car need preventative servicing, and will put their fingers on problems more quickly, thus saving you money over a backstreet garage in the long run, IMHO.

This topic nearly answers my question as well...however, I am having a little trouble with my bonnet (one hinge is broken and there is no lock yet) and speedometer (most probably a sensor issue). I need somebody to fix that before I enter a motorway or drive anywhere further than home-work route as I really fear that the bonnet could fall down at higher speeds. Would anybody have any recommendation within Reading, Berkshire or up to 10 miles around? The options in this thread were just a little too far for me.

Wow.....& in that relatively short time span one of the 'recommended' 
companies was put into Administration, restarted under another name,closed by the Courts & then restarted as a 'Phoenix' company......ohh how the creditors
As for the bonnet question do you mean the hinge bar has broken or more commonly the fibre glass box that the hinge passes through has come away from the bonnet? If it is the fibreglass box almost any bodyshop would be able to rebond it for you.
From memory the speedo sensor is on the rear axle where the prop joins, it can get muck on it so worth cleaning/checking the sensor/connector.

The problem with the bonnet is broken fiberglass which holds the rod. A lot of garages refused to fix that as they aparently have no experience with TVRs and are sort of afraid or something...
I will try the TVR Racing Green for all my needs... i suspect a random cheap garage would spend hours finding the cause for speedo problem and would not be that cheap afterwards anyway.

I had the same problem with the bonnet hinge. Both sides actually. If you take the bonnet off, it's relatively easy to fix with glass fibre. I also cut out an alloy support and bonded it on the outside, as the hole in the GRP has enlarged somewhat.
Another approach would be to cut a hole in the box section so you can get behind it to glass it in. Seal it with a grommet afterwards.
