I have a precat Griff which I think shares the clock with the S series too.

The clock no longer lights up and I wondered if anyone knew how to replace the built in illumination/bulb?

Grateful for any pointers

In an S you stuff your hand up the back of the dash to the rear of the clock. On the rear face is a bulb holder which pulls out.

Then you unclipped the old bulb and put a new one in, fairly simple.

Don't know how accessible the rear of the clock is on a Griff.

Did I mention about the scraped backs of your hands as you root around behind the dash?

I think it will be easier for you to take the dash panel out, and rest it(gently!) on the steering column...The light is just a push fit, and simple to remove and change the bulb

Thanks guys although having just done a dash change unlike all the other instruments I couldn't see a push in bulb at the back - will have to take it out and look again...

Actually I'm now starting to question if the precat Griff clock is the same as the one in the S series?

Hillclimb,

My clock I think is the same as yours and looks like this:

It's the one with the stupidly loud ticking!

Grateful for any pointers you have!
