Hi there,
Can we help?
(The REAL SGirl will be along later).

The gent with the Griff wouldn't have a Highland Pearl "555" type Griff, would he?

Probably because (IIRC) her Griff was very close to being a real 320bhp'er...

Hi All

Yes the Griff I own is 555 grey, the MA tuning session was at PowerEngineering earlier today, Yes I have Emailed SGirl.

Tam Lin, just the man !,
The guru (ma)has informed me that your wife used to own my car. He also told me the good news that it was well setup (320 BHP)& looked after by your selves. The bad news is the cam is now on its way out(only 250 BHP), no fault of yours probally my right boot, hence my request for help.
Can you advise, I would really like to replace the same type of cam, can you guys recall the type & any additional work. MA has already confirmed the Tornado chip ?

Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear that. SGirl last had that car two and a bit years ago, when it was an absolute beast, after MA transformed it: 304 bhp and about 330 Ftlb, measured at Power Engineering.

Unfortunately the cams had been replaced by a previous owner (you should have the garage invoice in the bills that came with the car: it was done at about 12k miles), so we're no wiser.

Have a word with Mark or Tim at ACT: a few breathing mods and a cam that suits those may be a better use of money than just restoring what the car had. (see thread "Best cam for 500")

Having said that, the car was pretty special: I had an old 911 at the time, and there was no comparison..which is why we've had a TVR ever since.
