TVR Paint jobs. Some questions and waffling.

Considering repainting mine, just because. But have some possibly pointless questions beforehand.
What was it about the paint job that led to advice discouraging machine/jet washing? Or was it actually to do with some other issue, like electrics or summat?
Also-
Considering that the colours were frequently borrowed from other makers' catalogues, were the paint jobs all of different types i.e. some 1k, some 2k, some without lacquer, some with, etc?
My favourite colour does seem to vary according to which model.
T350 in any chromaflair/flip, because its curves are not too aggressive as to make the thing look like a multicolour child's toy. Tuscan and Sag look too clowny with flip colours IMO, though I do accept that it is an entirely individual issue, which in turn varied according to context and fashions etc.
Sagaris works with the brighter, citrus metallics. They seem to enhance its rage.
Tuscan- black. A black on black Tuscan is surely the devil's own ride.
Tamora- solid colours. A pure colour emphasises its baby-rocket shape.
