Excellent news, TVR have just informed me, via post, that I have 12 months RAC cover for my 'NEW' TVR.

This comes as a surprise, seeing as my 'NEW' TVR is 10 months old!!!!!

Don'tcha just love 'em?

If I didn't love my car so much i'd be cross, but when I showed the letter to Mrs CT we both laughed.
This seems typical of the sort of service that we are used to. My dealer has been great but people still laugh when I tell them I have a TVR as the reputation is crap.

Are many people like me and just expect this sort of thing?
Why do we let them get away with it?
Or have I answered my own question with the love thing?

Your views would be appreciated so I can try to justify (not that I need to) my ownership of such a car to TVR-o-files.

It's worth trying to see if they will instate it from now.

Should I tell Mother as she is the one that organises the RAC cover?

Thank you for the offer Claire.
I'm not about to go shouting to try and get anything back/out of TVR, i'm not that sort of bloke, my point was to try and gain a general view of why most of us on here love the things when it seems we are generally let down.

Engine rebuilds taking weeks, engine rebuilds at all!

No handbooks for Mk11 Tuscans etc. etc.

These are just the things i've heard about lately and I could go on.

Knocking the company is not in my interests and IF I ever get rid of my Tuscan, it will be replaced with some other TVR, but I just can't explain why????

I had all this with LR. Bought a new Defender in 2000 and straight away the thing leaked. I was unhappy but not cross as I almost expected it. £22k on a sieve!
This was in addition to things going wrong with a nearly new Disco which I didn't moan about.
Is it me?

No, it can't be, the BMW has a light fault. 6 months old so it's damn well going back!
