Still having trouble with my speedo,
I have replaced the transducer with a new one, (8 pulse) and sent the speedo to Speedy cables who said they couldnt repair it due to lack of parts availability.
They offered to build me a new one, print TVR on the face and everything.
EXCEPT the new one would start at 7 oclock instead on 1 oclock as per precat. This would make it odd against the tacho.
And they want to charge me £225 for the priviledge.

Need some ideas, this is stopping me getting the car on the road !!!!!!!!!
Its driving me mad

Speedy cables are same as CAI are'nt they? Early instruments are ETB I think. You should try them:

The early clocks were Stewart Warner , so ETB cant help.
Tried Bell Hill, no luck.
Even tried TVRparts and Neil thought he may have one but no luck there either.

Have you tried some of the Bodywork Guys, Ewelmes,pr wood or Tvr bodyshop, you may be lucky and they may have some kicking about?? or may know where you may get some as they repair damaged cars i am sure they have there sources.

type tvr used parts into your search engine, there are plenty of breakers carrying bits.

Just been looking at ETB site, would anybody think it would be that bad to have non original clocks in a precat?
I.E they dont say TVR on them?

Why? My Chim speedo used to read 40% slow. It still went OK though......! New transponder didn't help (except stopped it flickering). New timing wheel to compensate error fitted = OK now!
