Trevvie is sitting on the drive so I might pop out for a blast along the A272 in the other direction towards Uckfield.

It'll be more fun now I don't have a butler to depress the accelerator pedal for me!

I had to put him out to grass - I overworked him. I now have a vacancy for a tall, dark, handsome, experienced Butler!

You should! Twisty, hilly with big wide bits to get past slower cars (Porches etc)!

Have you ever tried to overtake those boys in a Porsche 911 Turbo...they're awesome? The car isn't bad either!

Oops - I guess I shouldn't have said that *here*.

Yeah, we overtook one (Well, ran side by side for a few accel runs then he gave up on the third try to out gun a Cerb (we were both two up). Probably would have been different over 150, but from 80 to 130, the Cerb could pull out a bit of a gap. Needless to say, this wasnt in this country Unless its a Turbo X50, I dont think they are any quicker to about 150 - after which point thier weight doesnt show as much.

Anyway, as this is a TVR forum, might I suggest the best way to overtake a Porsche 996 Turbo is to catch them when the drivers asleep at the wheel... usually a few mins into most drives

Coats on, im running...

Hell, yes. This road is a Peach. First route I took after buying my Chim 500 from Fernies earlier this week. I was on it earlier today, and saw several hooners (Elises, and Ducatis, but no Tiv's)

Try it. You'll like it.

I love that road! When I used to spend alternate weekends in Midhurst I found an excuse most weekends to use it!

Al

You don't know how lucky you are with all those ace roads round there, and Goodwood on your doorstep too!

(Not to mention the boys at Fernhurst to supply you with coffee!)

The A272 runs through the centre of Haywards Heath so get your Tuscan in gear and come and play in my neck of the woods!
