What tyres? different types have different side wall rigidity so it make sense to take this into account

I have found 22f 24r works well with most tyres

Okay, good starting point but if you're on Toyos or other soft wall tyre 24f 26r is a good starting point

Sounds a bit soft for 45 profiles? High twenties maybe for a light car like the S, Into the 30's for a heavier car.

Nope, all factory options were 15" for the S

I had to go 17s as the 15s would not go over the 283mm discs / AP 4 pot front brakes

I purchased these from the chap I bought the remains of the car from (Cat C been bumped on front off-side = bent chassis / no bonnet / no engine+box and a VERY rusty chassis)

I ask because I bought a set of those in 17 inch off a Chimaera owner when I first bought the car......and then discovered they were slightly the wrong offset for my car. IIRC they are ET18, and I really ought to pass them on to someone needing a set of 17s for a brake upgrade. They do have TVR centre caps, just need some TLC to the paint. They look nice on your car.
