Got a chap coming to see my car tonight... he says he from Luxemburg...

Has any one had any dealings with him before ?????? (ie is he a well known fraudster)

I am a bit aprehensive about dealing with someone outside the UK as well

Any advise ??????????

If you are the aforementioned bloke and you are genuine I apologise.... but I am a little nervous.

Do a cash only deal, and make sure YOU complete the paperwork.

NO cheques (especially those for more than the calue of the car)...

No reason to be any more or less cautious than you should be with anyone else IMO, and to be frank having lived there for a year I'd as soon do business with the 'average' Luxembourger as the 'average' in this country.

Just make sure any funds are cleared before releasing the car and you've got nothing to worry about.

Oh yes you have to be careful.... Do cash only.

Bankers Drafts can be cleared and then reversed out of your account some two weeks after the amount has been credited. This happens when the dafts are found to be counterfeit. This is a current scam and no doubt will be sorted but in the meantime take nmothing for granted.

Sorry but the adage in case is 'seller beware'.
