Can anyone help.

I have my car all masked up for a front end respray at a body shop and the paint supplier and the body shop can't make head nor tale of the paint code.

The paint code on the plate is P422.

Can anyone help and let me know the paint colour?

Hi Peter

According to the second paint code list on PH, P422 looks like the designator for ICI manufacture rather than the paint colour itself.

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Suggest there should be a second set of codes somewhere.

If your quick call Adrian at Central or other well known shop. I'm sure he'll know

I was on my way back from London so couldn't pay this too much attention.

Phoned up Powers, they confirmed that it is iris blue metallic Porsche 39V.

So thanks very much for this and you Alun for suggesting phoning a main man .

Hopefully problem solved.

I drop the car in on Monday. You would have thought he would've sorted the colour out sometime before he actually masked it up!

I suppose I am not paying surface and design prices! Ha ha.

It'll make the dark colour bling up nicely.
